The struggle in life is not what we go through rather the struggle is to not worry when we go through it, Worry is the ignition of stress. Stress produces confusion, illness, strife, pride, etc. Stress is proof we are trying to change something that is not in our control. Even though we have power and authority as believers we do not have that ability over other people… just ourselves. The power of the Holy Spirit is in you to control the flesh that wants to be in control of everything. Use you power as a believer to stand and declare that you will not worry because everything will turn out for your good no matter what it looks like today. The hardest thing about being a Christian is to submit your worries and trust the Word. Every day is an exercise to make yourself trust the Word of God’s favor on you and make up your mind you will not worry! Give it over to the Word and live stress free.

It’s Your Day

The Resurrection is a time of celebration! Not only did He rise from the grave but we rose with Him according to Paul. Jesus died as us not just for us. Therefore if we died with Him them we also live in the same celebration of a resurrected life. To live in this power just simply means what used to bury me, depress me, carry me away with thoughts of hopelessness now has no hold on me. I now have the right and the ability to live in the resurrection power which is to rise above in every area of my life. How about today you find something that has been overwhelming you and you make a decision I am alive again and this will not bury me in hopelessness or worry anymore. I am alive with Christ and have the power to hope again. How do you begin? Stop hanging out with the mourners and grievers of you situations and begin to listen to people who are looking for a better day. Enjoy life because of the resurrection. It’s your day too.

Finding Peace In The Storm

We were never promised by the Lord that storms would never come but we do have the promise all things will work together for our good according to our faith. That is the stipulation. Our faith is not based upon our goodness but His. If we inventory our works to determine the victory it will inevitably lead us to depression and worry during chaotic times. The fall in the Garden of Eden happened because man disobeyed God. God said to the man do not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil because the minute you do it will separate you from knowing the peace of God. Every day we have the opportunity to obey or disobey God in this same area. To eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is simply to compare your evil to His goodness and when we do that we will always feel undeserving of victory. Start to day… find your peace in the works of Jesus at the cross. Stop rehearsing your failures and collect evidence of His greatness. Stand in the faith that Jesus satisfied the Father and you are an inheritor of the blessing. Find peace and the storm cannot stay. Resist the temptation to compare your works to His goodness. The storm is passing …. But The Word will never pass away.

The Gift

Too often we just see Jesus as the gift given so that men can make heaven when they die but the Gift is so much more than that. You see.. the Gift the Father wanted mankind to recieve was the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the price paid to recieve the Gift, the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Righteousness now dwells in us and we have righteous status because of the price that was paid. So while you're busy buying gifts for others just take a moment and give the Father a gift of praise for doing what we could not and that is... pay for Righteousness. He is the reason for this season of right standing with God called Grace.

The Power of Expectation

Expectation is such a powerful force. It is literally faith in action. Whether positive or negative… it is still faith at work. Every day we have the opportunity to expect something different. What we expect is based upon what we perceive. What we percieve is directly affected by who believe we are. This is one of the differences between the old man and the new man. As a new creature in Christ we are to dwell on the rights and privileges that are ours in Christ. The old man operates by the five senses. The new man operates by the Word of inheritance. This is a daily battle that is fought in the mind. Remember this… we walk (expect) by faith and not by sight. Change your mind and you will change your life.

Don’t Be Anxious

Anxiety is proof contentment has not been achieved. Paul said he learned to be content in whatever state he was in (Phil 4:11). It’s amazing… in the winter we can’t wait for the Spring. Spring comes with its rains and not too long we are ready for the rain to go and the Summer heat and dry to come along. Now as we find ourselves in the heat of summer we are ready for the cooling temperatures of the fall. No doubt as the holidays edge closer we will be looking for a white Christmas. It is definitely ongoing, this cycle of change.

We have changes in our lives as well. Just as sure as we know another season is coming in the natural we can’t be depressed or anxious about the one we are in because we know there are changes coming. Paul learned the changes of life as seasons and learned to be content. Contentment is not passive to the degree you accept the defeatist attitude that “this is just the way it is”, but content I understanding this too shall pass.

Anxiety does not hasten the change of seasons but only causes frustration of the season. When you begin to become content in the season you will discover the purpose of the season. Understanding is what we should pray for… not change.

Anxiety causes you to miss the blessing of the season you are in. We naturally do not like to be uncomfortable in any season but just knowing change is coming is what causes you to be relaxed. We as Christians should be the light of the world not so much in our dress code or religious practices as we are in our sense of peace in knowing change is coming.

Jesus knew He would rise from the dead so He was able to be content with what He had to suffer at the cross (Heb 12:2). Jesus paid the price for our hope of change. Don’t be anxious for anything but in all things have knowledge there will be a resurrection of a new season.

Contentment comes from simply knowing… All things work together for the good to them that love God and are the called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28).

Everyday is the day the Lord has made….

Let's make one thing very clear... God is good and He does not do anything evil to make people want to serve Him. The reality of good and evil is called "life". The Christian life is one of mountains and valleys. Being “saved” doesn’t mean you never have adversity. It does give you the right and privilege to always win. Traditional teaching would tell you if things are going wrong then you must have either missed God or you have made a mistake in your holy life style and brought this conflict upon yourself. If we would redefine a few things it would help our attitude in life. Let’s stop calling them rewards and struggles… let’s look at them as ministry on two different levels. Our “mountain” experiences are when God ministers to us. The “valleys” are when we minister to others. We will do ourselves well to remember that mountain top experiences are for times of refreshing before going to the next level of ministry. Valleys are where we minister. David said it was in the valley that he saw more of God’s influence than anywhere else in his life. Thank God for the mountain tops but they only refresh you to minister and maintain the victorious attitude when you go through the valley. When you approach the day in this mindset it will cause anticipation of success everyday in that no matter what happens God is working in you and through you constantly

Seasons

Too many of God’s people are living frustrated and questioning the Word, will and wisdom of God. This season we are in has the world shaking, worrying and wondering what’s next? There should be an amazing difference between the church and the world. That difference should be that we are not moved by what we are in because we understand how things come and go and that no matter what, God is good!

If you haven’t noticed… seasons bring change and change means things in our life move in and move out. When a building is being constructed, there is a season where large cranes are necessary to move the beams of steel and prepare for the next stage in the process. When the crane has completed its work it is moved out of the way for other necessary pieces of equipment to come in and fulfill their purpose in the project.

The best way to not be shaken is to understand how God moves things and people in and out of our lives to fulfill what He started in you. Where we get discouraged is when change comes and we grow lonely and discouraged because what we held on to has now been replaced with something else. Never forget, change to us is progress in God’s mind. Don’t ever grow so attached to something that when it’s moved out you sit and cry and lose vision because of it. Remember you are the only thing in the world God cares about. I know you’re thinking… He cares about everyone, this is true. But for you to make it to the next season in a supernatural peace you must begin to believe His focus is on you alone. You are special and your success is His pleasure.

Today, start thanking the Lord for what He has brought into your life and what He has removed. Remember… God is not about decreasing you, He’s the God of increase so what is leaving today is making room for what your tomorrow needs to make your life even greater.

Jeremiah 29:11
I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.
